Changing direction in life is difficult.

Just like us, Camron sometimes chose unhealthy recreation as a young teen making his way in the world.

Yet when he desired growth in life, he chose to re-create himself. The journey led him to a crossroads: would he surround his life with the same things he had before, or follow the narrow path into new life?

Camron knew BridgeBuilders as a place of help, where the road is never walked alone. Through our Afterschool Program, Mowing & Mentoring, and Bonton Bible Church, Camron has embraced a new walk!

This is one of many stories of how your giving creates help, and help creates hope.

🌿 What Camron Received, He Now Gives.

Camron met us as a kid, but so much has changed since then.

Our Mowing & Mentoring Program has helped him earn money, learn how to manage and save it, and pick up new life skills–all while senior citizens needing help with their lawns receive that care.

Not only does Camron receive the help that becomes hope, he also provides it to his neighbors!

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
— Proverbs 27:17

🧩 A Bridge from School to Home

We are the first friends our students see after the last bell rings and the bus drops them off.

Their daily lives come with trials–maybe someone was unkind at school, or perhaps a new subject just didn’t click–or maybe it was a great day, and they’re excited to see friends at BridgeBuilders.

On our campus, we help with homework, provide nutritious food, introduce local resources and partners, and teach emotional regulation; every effort strategically chosen to create help.

Camron has a home between homes here, and he’s making this place a home for others around him. Teen years are a bridge that requires ownership and responsibility–which we’re proud to see growing strong within Camron.

Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
— Matthew 6:34
