Since November, three students in BridgeBuilders KIDS After-School Program have been setting the bar at JJ Rhodes Elementary School. Mikayla, Derriya, and Chosan were selected as ‘Student of the Month’ in their respective classes because of their character and exemplary leadership. These are virtues taught in the KIDS After-School program every day and we are so proud of their leadership in class.

We offer children’s programming to help children, trapped in poverty, flourish. According to the National Center for Children, poverty is the single greatest threat to a child’s well-being and children exposed to poverty are at a higher risk for antisocial behaviors and mental disorders (source: American Psychology, 2012). BridgeBuilders offers much needed intervention in response to the adverse impact of poverty through academic support, spiritual formation, social development, and emotional support.
