Be Our Guest, Building Bridges

Recently renovated Turner Courts Gym was filled with family, friends, laughter, and some joyful tears as BridgeBuilders hosted our annual Fall Dinner on Thursday, November 15. The chef and staff of The Market at Bonton Farms delighted attendees with an unforgettable meal.

The milestone evening included a message from new executive director, Jonathan Fechner. Jonathan shared the legacy of his father who founded BridgeBuilders and gave his own vision for the ministry anticipating exciting days ahead. Guests enjoyed a dance performance by students who participate in BridgeBuilders after school programs as well as a moving song and message from Miss Velma Mitchell, longtime Bonton resident, whose relationship with the Fechner family inspired the founding of the ministry over two decades ago.

Friendships were formed and renewed among Fall Dinner guests with many committing to a monthly financial investment in the ministry. Many others expressed interest in investing their time through volunteer opportunities. We invite you, also, to “be our guest” and join the work God is doing in Bonton!

Jonathan Fechner and the BridgeBuilders family are honored to continue his father’s business and THE Father’s business of building relational bridges that bring faith, hope, and love to the people of South Dallas. Won’t you join us?
