Chick-fil-A is a favorite of the BridgeBuilders staff and not just because of their amazing chicken biscuits! We love Chick-fil-A because they are the real deal. When two different franchise owners, Cody Northen and Vanessa Bales, came to us, we knew this was the perfect partnership. Both Cody and Vanessa see their businesses as platforms for ministry. They attended a WORK graduation and couldn’t help but get involved.
The Irving franchise, owned by Cody, donated food for all nine WORK graduations last year (that’s about 400 meals!) and even nominated us for the Chick-fil-A Foundation True Inspiration Award, a national award that includes a generous financial grant.
We are thankful for this but the partnership has evolved even further after Cody met with a student who captured his heart. Now, in 2018, Cody will be speaking to every one of our WORK training classes about employment with Chick-fil-A, starting in his own franchise! He sees the transformative power in our program and is looking to help the formerly “unemployable” who have been prepared and ready to work themselves out of poverty. Also, in the weeks ahead, we will be providing consultation to help his current employees navigate some of the “barriers to flourishing,” with which we at BridgeBuilders are so familiar. This is a true WIN-WIN partnership!
ATTEND the next graduation on February 9th, 12–1:30. See the life change firsthand, AND eat some Chick-fil-A! Click here to let us know you're coming!
