On February 13th, the Board of Directors selected Matthew McIntyre as their new Chairman. Matt has served on the Board of Directors since 2012. Matt and his wife, Kim have demonstrated faithful devotion to the vision, mission, and financial needs of BridgeBuilders over these many years. Matt is a highly successful entrepreneur and businessman that will ensure unceasing spiritual passion and sound governance remain as we continue to bring faith, hope, and love to the poor in Dallas.

Matt takes over for Kevin O’Neal who is stepping down after three years as Chairman of the Board. Kevin, the former Managing Director of HBK Capital Investments (retired), will continue to serve the ministry on the Advisory Board. Words are inadequate to express the magnitude of BridgeBuilders’ appreciation for Kevin’s skillful leadership through one of the most difficult seasons in the life of this ministry, or any: the death of a beloved founder. Kevin worked arduously to ensure the ongoing impact of this ministry and the continuation of sound leadership.

Michael Craven, in response to these changes, said, “Matt is an excellent choice to help us lead this ministry into the future and I am deeply grateful for his willingness to serve. I love Matt; he loves the Lord and he loves this ministry, but he will have some big shoes to fill—a concept with which I am all too familiar!” Regarding his longtime friend Kevin, Michael had this to say, “In seventeen years of serving in full-time vocational ministry, I have never seen a more committed, harder-working, completely engaged board member than Kevin O’Neal. He has been an enormous blessing to both me personally and this ministry during a time of extraordinary challenge. He is simply one of the finest servants of Christ I have ever known!”
