In addition to the new basketball court being provided by the Dallas Mavericks Foundation, the office and classroom areas at Turner Courts will also be receiving a much-needed facelift, courtesy of the Dallas Housing Authority (DHA).
Later this month, construction will begin on the entry, kitchen and classroom areas of Turner Courts Recreation Center in Bonton. The project will include new flooring, a new kitchen (including appliances), fresh paint, and some structural repairs. The project is expected to take 3-4 weeks and will be a welcome upgrade to the space currently being used by our After-School program.
During construction, our After-School program will operate out of the adjacent facilities within Buckeye Trails Commons, the five-year-old, 323-unit apartment complex owned and operated by DHA.
Over the years, BridgeBuilders’ stakeholders have invested thousands of dollars in needed improvements at Turner Courts Recreation Center. It is great to see DHA, and others, doing the same!
