I Got Your Back 2019

What makes winning possible? Winning a tough game or winning at life often requires having someone in your corner, someone who “has your back” when you are in need.

Nearly two hundred students will start the school year winning as a result of BridgeBuilders annual I Got Your Back event held at Buckeye Commons Recreation Center on August 9. Each child received a backpack, school supplies, uniforms, and shoes to begin the year equipped for success. Bonton barbers gave free haircuts and volunteers from Nordstrom helped with setup, nail painting, and face painting for bonus fun!

Parent Maya Bello said, “I couldn’t make the first day of school happen without BridgeBuilders support. I’m so blessed and thankful for what y’all do.” Hebrews 13:16 testifies that the Lord is pleased when we do good and share with others. We want to give our thanks to our supporters and volunteers who engaged with the Bonton community to live out that truth through your presence and financial support for this year’s I Got Your Back event.

Our team of volunteers is committed to empowering students daily through BridgeBuilders After School Programs. We invite you to join us in that mission. Visit bridgebuilders.org/volunteer to get involved!
