North Texas Giving Day: Building Something Special

“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” Psalm 127:1a

Though we may not be building a literal house, the Lord is building something special in South Dallas. It is our belief that the Lord must do the work necessary for relationships to be restored in the lives of the individuals, families, and communities on our side of Dallas. We simply have the pleasure of being his hands and feet.

We cannot do this work without the Lord. One of the many gracious gifts that he has given to us is our donors. Not everyone is able to come to South Dallas to volunteer for Adopt-A-Block or BridgeBuilders Kids’ after-school program, but that doesn’t stop the many people who care deeply about the residents of Bonton and the greater South Dallas area from giving their hard-earned money to “the house” that God is building.

Every year, North Texas Giving Day presents an opportunity for people to “Get Up and Give!” Our donors, and many more first-time givers, showed out all day by helping us fundraise $30,000! We could not do what we do without awesome generosity like this. To everyone who gave, we want to send a huge “THANK YOU!” Through you, the Lord is building something special.

If you weren’t able to give on North Texas Giving Day and you would like to partner with us in our mission to engage, equip, and empower individuals, families, and communities in South Dallas, visit our Donate page here.
