New Access, New Opportunities
BridgeBuilders engages, equips, and empowers individuals, families, and communities through access to opportunities historically denied to Bonton+Ideal. Much has been done, but there’s work left to do.
Together, we can bring more access and opportunities to South Dallas!
Space to grow
Our partnership with Brother Bill's Helping Hand continues at the South Dallas Community Market; a food oasis in South Dallas providing free groceries to over 600 families each month. This year, we are set to provide the neighborhood with $1.8 million of in-kind groceries! With your giving, you will provide for the upcoming expansion to the Market, which will allow for more food to be stored and allow for more good to be done through this amazing grocery market!
a Vision of improvement
As part of the future expansion in the 5210 Bexar Street building, BridgeBuilders will be able to partner with an optometrist. This will provide the Bonton+Ideal neighborhood with new access that hasn’t existed before, and our neighbors will be able to address their vision issues without requiring transportation outside their own community.
Join Us
Each year that you have supported us for North Texas Giving Day, you have built bridges. Relational bridges of impact make our neighborhood whole over time, and we ask you to join us once again as we seek even more growth to provide new access and new opportunities to a community where they’ve been historically denied.

Funding GOALS
EXpand the south dallas community market
More space will be made available to store food, including the installation of a large onsite cooler for perishable items to be stocked in bulk. This will give our neighbors more food access and help us meet the growing demand of the Market to feed neighbors.
renovate space for an optometry clinic
The vacant unit at 5210 Bexar Street will receive a complete overhaul to use as a clinic for an optometrist partner to host vision screenings onsite and address other vision issues. Currently, the unit is in need of repairs and renovations before it is ready for use.
